Connecting to intuition

Intuition – a word that is popular in today's modern world. We seem to hear more and more people claiming today that "my intuition is telling me so and so" but we do not know exactly how to describe what intuition is. How can we define whether it is intuition or thoughts, senses, and the anxieties that accompany this or that decision of ours? Does our intuition lie? Or should we rely on it as the compass that directs our lives?

Is everyone born with intuition? Or is it a gift that only some of us are endowed with?
In the Western post-spiritual era, we have been taught to rely on what can be measured, everything that is certain and researched. The need to control feelings and urges and to think in an orderly manner, has been implanted in us. Everyone who has learned math at school has obviously become used to the only way that we are taught to solve problems – the analytical way, identifying the problem, finding the way through it and then arriving at the solution and answer.

We also completely ignore the world of emotions that exists in all of us. As soon as a child is born – we immediately consider and examine the process of its growth according to measurable and rational growth parameters and in fact, we ignore the fact that each of us is born into this world with the gift of intuition. Intuition is part of the energy of our soul, part of our body, and it is located in the stomach.

As people, we are made up of two elements – mother earth which contains the physical body, and father heaven, which contains the soul, which is part of our body and feeds all of our cells. Part of that same soul is also found in the stomach and that in that energy store we have what is referred to as our gut feelings. Sadly, when children are born, we teach immediately them to connect with their mother, "mother earth", the physical body and everything connected to it.
We teach them to exercise logic, to be practical, using the logical, left hand side of the brain. There are even periods when we educate them to ignore intuition because emotions and intuition are scary things, uncertain, which can bring about tragedy, and we have to control and restrain ourselves and work only according to the logical approach – according to the proper, rational problem-solving solution.

However, despite these attempts to ignore it, intuition is still a part of all of us, and it is the divine spark that we all have inside ourselves. Since we do not know clearly what it is, how to use it, how to apply it to our daily lives, because of our education that has pushed us to focus on the rational, we do not know exactly what intuition is and we get confused between it and emotion, thoughts, fears and beliefs.

So what is the role of intuition in our lives? What have we been gifted with?
We have been given intuition to help ourselves through life's journey. The soul that is the place of souls, selects which physical body it is going to descend into. It does not descend in full. Part of the soul descends into the physical body and another part remains above. That part of the intuition that descends is a kind of compass that helps us to direct our lives: Knowing what choices to make; knowing what will happen in the short or long term and so forth. At the moment that we do not listen to it and do not use it, we actually empty ourselves of the human content that we received.

If we want to learn to use it, we need to reawaken this energy and know how to differentiate between fears, emotions, thoughts and beliefs and our intuition. Meaning, knowing when intuition is talking and when it is something else. This ability will give us the security to choose things, solve problems based on intuitive decisions and not just to rely on rational decisions.
When we choose to be courageous and awaken the divine spark within us, we reconnect ourselves with father heaven and the origin of our soul.
